Richard Youngs
Mr. Youngs is a senior associate in the Democracy and Rule of Law Program based at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He is an expert on the foreign policy of the European Union, in particular on questions of democracy support.

Mr. Youngs is a senior associate in the Democracy and Rule of Law Program based at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He is an expert on the foreign policy of the European Union. That’s why he is also interested in democracy support issues. Youngs is also a professor of international relations at the Warwick University. Prior to that he held positions in the UK Foreign Office and was the director of the European think tank FRIDE. He has written books and articles on the EU neighboring countries, the EU crisis and energy security. His latest book, the seventh one, is titled «The Uncertain Legacy of Crisis: European Foreign Policy Faces the Future» was published in January, 2014.
