He worked with local actors in the urban environment in Argentine, Brazil, Austria and Poland. A model railway world in the Basel Theatre described in his Mnemopark is a winner of the Jury Prize Festival Politik im Freien Theater 2005. A mobile audience room (Cargo Sofia) – a lorry with two Bulgarian drivers toured around Europe in 2006. In 2009 Stefan Kaegi developed Radio Muezzin a project with 4 Egyptian muezzins calling to a prayer in the age of technical revolution.

In 2009 Stefan Kaegi was awarded Route Awards by the European Cultural Foundation.
