A historian, cyclist and football fan. Since 2009 he has been a full professor of History of Eastern Europe in Justus Liebig University Giessen (Germany). In 1996 he defended Russian Historical Science from 1880 till 1905 candidate thesis paper (Russische Geschichtswissenschaft von 1880 bis 1905. Köln: Böhlau Verlag, 1998; St. Petersburg: Olearius Press, 2005) at the University of Hamburg. In 2004 he presented a Ph.D. dissertation which title read Minsk, an Exemplary City of Socialism (Minsk - Musterstadt des Sozialismus, Köln: Böhlau Verlag, 2004; Moscow: Rosspen, 2013) at the University of Jena. Mr. Bohn is currently engaged in the project called The Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park. The Human, the Animal and the Environment on the Border between Poland and Belarus.
